On the behalf of the pupils, staff and governors, Welcome to Ysgol  Penmaes.

Ysgol Penmaes, situated in the cathedral town of Brecon, is a busy, forward-looking school that provides high quality specialist education for pupils aged 3-19 with a wide range of complex Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

The Penmaes campus, completed in September 2006, includes a purpose built school, a small residential unit for pupils with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (Golwg y Bannau).

 

This provision provides pupils with the very best learning opportunities, experiences and resources which support the school as a centre of excellence.

In September 2021 Penmaes in collaboration with the Local Authority opened a satellite provision in Crossgates, Llandrindod Wells. This is a primary satellite provision that provides specialist education for pupils with ALN with trained staff all of whom are part of the Penmaes staffing team. All pupils at the provision are included on Penmaes roll.
