In developing our vision for our curriculum, we focused on what the four purposes mean for our pupils and how their curriculum will support our pupils to realise them. Our vision – and the four purposes more broadly – are guiding the process of curriculum and assessment design. This includes developing our approach to curriculum design decisions across the whole school.

We have developed our vision to support their learners to realise the four purposes, pupil voice where applicable is central to this. The input of pupils is an important consideration throughout our design process.

We have used a Cardiff based illustrator to design us 4 purpose characters to support pupils in realising them. The 4 characters we have designed can be seen in the presentation included. Pupil voice is important to us as a school and it is the pupil’s who selected the names for the characters. As a school we have also developed a set of pupil friendly 4 purpose statements and these can be identified below.
